There was a fantastic bomb at the box office this week, as Marvel’s First Family hit rock bottom with moviegoers.
Repeating in first this weekend is Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, which grossed $29.4 million in its second weekend. This haul raises the film’s domestic total to $108.6 million. The latest adventure for the Impossible Mission Force fell only 47 percent from its opening numbers, which is a very strong hold for a tentpole film like this. Things are going even stronger internationally. The worldwide intake is now at $265.3 million, illustrating that distributor Paramount was smart to move the film up from its previously scheduled December 2015 release date (where it would have faced Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
